Formula 1 | Steiner on Ricciardo: “If he wanted to race with us he would definitely call us”

The Formula 1 driver market continues to evolve day by day. There are few places available, and one in particular is highly coveted. Haas is in fact deciding who to partner with Kevin Magnussen for next season. The names are the usual suspects: from Ricciardo to Giovinazzi, through Mick Schumacher and Nico Hulkenberg. Nothing has been decided yet, but Guenther Steiner, team principal of the American team, wanted to take stock of the situation.

“Daniel finds himself in a situation where he has to decide for himself what to do – Steiner said. There's no point in convincing him, he has to be the one to do it first and foremost. If he wants to come to us, he will definitely call, otherwise he could do something else, maybe take a sabbatical for example. However, we are in no hurry to decide, because this puts a lot of pressure on the team and honestly we don't need it, it would only play against ourselves. The others are in a hurry to decide, we are not. On Schumacher, it's not true that he's out just because we're looking around, let's say we're 50/50.
