F1 | Toro Rosso, Honda has signed a three-year agreement until 2020

While waiting to find out when McLaren will announce its partnership with Renault, Toro Rosso today signed its agreement with Honda for the supply of power units starting from 2018.

The “Torelli” will be the only team to mount the Japanese units and will test a package that could end up in the hands of Red Bull in 2019 given the tense relations between the Austrian Scuderia and Renault. The agreement will be for three years and will allow Toro Rosso to invest heavily in its structure given that, in addition to the investments that the Japanese will make in the team, the supply of the power units will be completely free of charge.

An agreement similar to the one signed with Sauber a few months ago, except for Frederic Vasseur's sensational reversal due to the poor performance of the Honda engine in this 2017 season. The official announcement will be made as early as tomorrow, presumably between free practice 1 and free practice 2. We just have to wait for the conclusion of a market plot that is animating this 2017 season finale.
