F1 | Steiner calls Vettel: “Happy to collaborate if he wants to race with us”

Interviewed by the international press during the last Styrian Grand Prix, the second round of this 2020 Formula 1 world championship, Gunther steiner analyzed the market situation linked to Sebastian Vettel, underlining how Haas is ready to welcome the German within its structure.

If the four-time world champion were to accept an adventure in a small team, the American team would be ready to offer one of its seats. An interesting and certainly curious idea, but one that will almost certainly not be taken into consideration by the current Ferrari driver.

“Vettel is a four-time World Champion and the question to ask is this: does he really want to work with a small team like Haas? ", Steiner said. “I don't know what he wants to do with his life, but if he wants to race with us, we would be happy to collaborate.”

On the market he added: “Sometimes there are three or four teams fighting for the same driver, when in reality there are many valid profiles who are left without a seat. See for example Nico Hulkenberg. As far as we're concerned, we're not worried about the possibility of being left without drivers, also because Vettel is on the market!”.
