F1 | Giovinazzi: “I am proud to have this opportunity with Haas”

The joy of Antonio Giovinazzi it's a lot. It could only be otherwise now that the third Ferrari driver has been offered the opportunity to take part in Friday practice for seven of the upcoming 2017 GPs.

The young Italian will take Kevin Magnussen's place in the Haas and will thus be able to refine the experience already accumulated in his first seasonal outings with Sauber, when he was called upon to replace the injured Pascal Wehrlein.

“In a season in which I have already had great opportunities I am proud to have another one with Haas – we read on Tuttosport – being the third Ferrari driver is obviously a good thing and driving the Haas in the first free practice will allow me to improve. I will be able to show everything I have learned in the simulator and apply it in actual racing conditions."

A great opportunity that will mark the pilot's future for the next few years too. The first appointment will be Silverstone in July while then it will be the turn of the races in Hungary, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Brazil and Abu Dhabi. On all occasions, Magnussen will make way for them. Only in Mexico will he replace the other Haas driver Grosjean.
