F1 | Gasly: ​​“With Alpine we can do something extraordinary”

For Gasly, 2023 means the beginning of a new adventure in Formula 1. The French driver, after a life in the Red Bull family with Toro Rosso and AlphaTauri, and a few more than negative months in the Milton Keynes team, has changed his mind and in the next season he will race for his compatriots Alpine. After the success in Monza in 2020 and the fantastic podium in Brazil in 2019, the year in which he was rejected by Red Bull, the transalpine was expecting a much more competitive 2022, but this year's AT03 was anything but which was sufficient, completing the season in penultimate place in the constructors' standings.

“2021 was certainly more positive than 2022, I can't lie about that – Gasly admitted to Autosport. I didn't have the speed to show what I can do: I think going to Alpine is a new beginning for me, we can do something extraordinary together, and this year has been the best since they returned to Formula 1, I'm on the right track and they are doing well season after season. I'm very confident about what we can do together in 2023, I'm very ready! You can't underestimate the work when you change teams: you're in a new environment, with guys you don't know and a different car. There has to be the right approach to make everything work as quickly as possible, but from what we've seen there really is the potential to achieve something important."
