According to the end-of-year statistics provided by Pirelli, Daniel Ricciardo was the driver who made the greatest number of overtakings in the 2017 Formula One World Championship which closed its doors with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix held on November 26th on the track of Yas Marina.
The Australian from Red Bull made 43 overtakes in the 20 races held throughout the season, including 13 in the Silverstone race alone.
In the British Grand Prix Ricciardo was forced to make a comeback after the turbo problems he suffered in qualifying which forced him to be eliminated in the first heat. Starting from the last row of the grid, the Australian closed that race in fifth place showing off a great performance.
