F1 | AlphaTauri, Gasly on the new rules: “An opportunity, but we are definitely behind Red Bull”

Being part of a satellite team probably prevents you from being able to dream fully. Pierre Gasly's statements to Auto Motor und Sport are a clear example in this sense. The capable driver of AlphaTauri, the small Red Bull from Faenza, is aware that his team would still not be able to stay ahead of the parent company in Milton Keynes and that even in the most surprising of scenarios the maximum would be second place in the Constructors' Championship.

“In the best possible scenario we could do seconds at most - Gasly's words - Red Bull will always be ahead of us. This is the scenario I hope for anyway, but it is certainly not realistic. We could also make a mistake in the project and it would be a bad surprise. I'm preparing for all possible scenarios: maybe it will get better or worse. We want to think positively. The new rules are an opportunity: everyone starts from scratch and, in this way, we will be able to find something that others have not yet done. This could potentially make a difference."
