F1 | Alfa Romeo, Antonio Giovinazzi is eleventh: "We are confident"

Antonio Giovinazzi doesn't give up and still aims for Q3. The driver from Martina Franca remained very close to the top 10 at Paul Ricard, placing twelfth in the morning and eleventh in FP2, where Raikkonen instead managed to place ninth. There is still work to be done on the C41, and the track conditions were not helpful, but Giovinazzi is convinced he can do it and repeat the Monte Carlo feat in qualifying.

"Our weekend starts off well and we are confident ahead of qualifying – revealed the Italian pilot – the conditions on the track were not easy, there was a lot of wind and little grip, but this is what we should expect for tomorrow too. Being just outside the top 10 when I still don't feel 100% connected to the car is a sign that we can fight for Q3, but we will have to try to improve tonight. This is our job, and if we do a better job than our rivals, we will have a good Sunday. We will analyze the data and see what will happen tomorrow".
