"You don't just have to look at Max, there's balance behind it," said the Thai driver from Williams

F1 | Albon against the concept of Formula-boredom

F1 Albon – Alexander Albon spoke out against the concept of "Formula-boredom" that emerged after the world events in Sakhir and Jeddah, specifying how the balance on the starting grid, leaving aside the broad dominance displayed by the RB20 driven by Max Verstappen, has gave fans two exciting, lively and full of surprises races. A condition already partially highlighted last year and which confirmed the high technical and driving level present within the starting grid.

The races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, we remember, were literally dominated by the reigning World Champion who inflicted quite large gaps on everyone. A condition already foreseen after the tests at the end of February and which has caused quite a bit of disappointment among enthusiasts, eager to enjoy close challenges and duels not only at the rear of the grid, but also in the top positions of the standings.

Albon highlights the balance on the starting grid

“It's a shame to see the comments about Max and the boredom of Formula 1. It's not a truthful situation, at least from my point of view. Leaving aside Verstappen's competitiveness in the Red Bull, I would say that we are facing one of the best starting grids in Formula 1. We are all close and every weekend there can be different balances. And the situation doesn't change much even taking Max into account. Everyone is focusing on the leader, but the races at the back are intense. There is always a big battle and the smallest detail can move you up or down several positions."
