Caterham, Van der Garde: “We will need a clean start and a good strategy”
The Dutch driver finished qualifying for the Hungarian GP 20th, Pic 19th
“The first part of qualifying was a good session for me. We made some changes to the car overnight and that worked in our favor.".
The words of Charles Pic at the end of the qualifications of Hungarian GP they are satisfying. The pilot Caterham he finished 19th, although he was not entirely satisfied with his fastest lap, especially on the soft tires.
“In the 1st quarter our aim was to finish ahead of the Marussia and with both cars there was actually a bigger gap than we've seen for a while, so I'm happy with the outcome of the session – he continued -. Our levels are quite good with the mediums and we have already seen that we are able to push, so despite the gap, I am already thinking about a good race tomorrow.".
Giedo van der Garde, however, finished 20th, one position behind his teammate, but he says he is optimistic, also because he has always done well in Hungary, obtaining good results at the Hungaroring: “With a clean start and a good strategy I think we can have a decent Sunday”.
