There were 38 laps covered by Charles Pic at the wheel of Lotus on the final day of testing at Silverstone. The Frenchman, tenth at the end with a time of 1'41"906, dedicated himself to studying tires and working on aerodynamics, not without some problems which forced him to replace the gearbox.

“It was a special experience to be the first to try the new 18-inch Pirellis – he revealed – They certainly give different sensations than the usual ones, so it was very interesting to experiment with them and give initial feedback to the technicians. In the afternoon, however, I returned to the classic 13" ones and focused on the evaluation with a high fuel load. I was happy to be able to drive the E22 again."
