Button: “I hope for a Saturday with less wind”
The British driver from McLaren finished Friday's free practice in Australia inside the top ten
Love and spring generally bring euphoria. But not to Jenson Button. Recently paired with ex-rabbit Brittny Ward as gossip claims, the Englishman from McLaren, author of 29 laps, analyzed the seasonal debut in Melbourne marked by rain, with a lot of realism and little desire to dream.
“They weren't two easy sessions. In fact, even when the surface dried out the wind was blowing at 50 km/h, making managing the single-seater really complex. Usually in conditions like this it is difficult to stay on the track, so I sincerely hope that the weather on Saturday will be a little more lenient” – the reflection at the end of the day which ended in 1th place in FP8 and 2th in FP7 .
“For the rest we focused on the engine and the ground clearance of the MP4-31. We would have liked to do more but it wasn't possible” – she underlined.
“Regarding the new qualifications, I don't know if the spectators will already be able to understand tomorrow. However, it is likely that we will see some errors even if in general we are all prepared” – the conclusion of the 36-year-old from Frome.
