Red Bull, Ricciardo: “It will be fun in the race”

The early interruption of Qualifying also brought good luck to Red Bull, who will occupy the second row in Austin, with Daniel Ricciardo third ahead of his teammate Daniil Kvyat.
Despite the rain, the RB11 had already shown itself to be very competitive in the albeit brief outings on the track this weekend and could reserve some surprises for us in the race.

“Q1 went well, we felt quite comfortable,” he explained Ricciardo at the press conference. “In Q2 the rain began to increase and the water on the track consequently. We had some problems with respect to Mercedes who managed to bring out a little more speed. But third place is still a good placement, it puts me in a good position ahead of the race. Immediately behind me there are some faster cars that maybe wouldn't have been faster in dry conditions so I think it's a good opportunity for us and we need to try to capitalize on it. I don't know what the weather will be like later but I still think it will be fun out there in a few hours!”, concluded the Australian smiling.
