Räikkönen: “Whatever Pirelli does will leave someone dissatisfied”

For the Finn, it is the teams that have to find solutions

Kimi Räikkönen the tire problem doesn't exist. According to the Finnish of Lotus the teams instead of complaining and asking Pirelli to change coverages, they should work to find how to best fit what they have at their disposal.

“I don't think racing at the top is that different from the past,” he told the media in Bahrain. “F1 hasn't changed much in the last ten years. There were periods when you pushed harder, but you had to stop often, thus making shorter runs with less fuel load, while if you were quite heavy you had to pay attention to the tyres, so all in all we are more or less at that level. There is certainly degradation today, but if a driver decides to stop for example six times in a race, the issue does not arise. It's up to you to decide how to behave and evaluate which is the most profitable path."

Finally, regarding the Italian manufacturing company, he added: “It is not at all in a simple position because whatever it decides to do there will always be someone dissatisfied; This was also the case with other suppliers. However, I think that if a team has problems, it is they who must pay the consequences. It's right that this is the case otherwise it would be easy."
