F1 | The F1 Commission has discussed the change to the scoring system

Yesterday, Thursday 25 April, the F1 Commission met for the second time in 2024 chaired by the FIA single-seater director Nikolas Tombazis and the president and CEO of Formula 1 Stefano Domenicali.

Among the topics discussed were the following changes: to the scoring system, as described in articles 6.4 and 6.5 of the Sporting Regulations, to the technical-sports regulations and to the 2025 pre-season tests (proposed date and locations).

For changes to the scoring system, further analysis of what is proposed will be necessary, with a view to a formal proposal to be presented at the F1 Commission meeting to be held in July. Furthermore, some changes were approved regarding both the financial and sporting regulations. From the next Spanish GP a new rear camera will debut on single-seaters.
