Pirelli: agreement reached with FIA for renewal of F1 contract
The Italian company will still be the sole supplier

The FIA has given the green light to the renewal of Pirelli's contract as sole supplier of the Formula 1 world championship. Although the agreement has not yet been officially confirmed, the World Motor Sport Council has stated that Pirelli "should" continue to supply the tires in 2014 if certain technical and safety standards are ensured.
In any case, the supplier will have to participate in a tender called by the FIA for the 2014 season.
The Italian supplier has already reached agreements with all 11 F1 teams and with FOM, which holds the commercial rights of F1.
