Rain in Singapore: Pilots worried about visibility

It was a wet eve for the Marina Bay circuit in Singapore, as the riders disembarked on Tuesday and were greeted by two days of thunderstorms. The prospect of a wet weekend is very worrying for the riders who are afraid of the reflections that the artificial lights could have on the wet track and on the rain drops.

The most experienced driver of the circus, Rubens Barrichello: “I have never driven in the rain at night. I don't really know what to say about it. We'll just have to wait and see."

Jackie Stewart has been in Singapore for several days, the three-time world champion said: “Two days ago the rain was so heavy that rivers of water flooded the track. It would have been impossible to drive. In daylight you may be able to see the runway but at night it is impossible. Except for the track, everything else is dark, the drivers' peripheral vision will suffer a significant decline."

Vettel seems not to worry about the weather conditions, he waits to personally check the track before expressing his opinion while Rosberg says he is quite worried about the weather conditions, he hopes for a dry race but admits that a hypothetical wet race would be very interesting to follow.
