Mercedes, Toto Wolff: “Rosberg will be back in top form in the Spa race”
On both Stella drivers: "I admire their recovery strength after difficult races"
After dominating the first part of the season (a poker of triumphs in the first four rounds of 2016), Nico Rosberg suffered the return of Lewis Hamilton in the subsequent races. If we exclude the accident at Montmelò and the Azerbaijani trip to Baku, where the German triumphed and the Englishman had to settle for fifth place, Hamilton recovered the beauty of 43 points over his teammate/rival which allowed him to become the new leader of the World Championship.
Despite a diminished Rosberg in recent outings, Toto Wolff believes that Keke's son will return to top form already in the first race after the summer break, scheduled for the legendary Spa circuit on 28 August.
"Once the German GP is over, where he had a bad start and a penalty for dangerous behavior on the track, Nico will have a few days to recover mentally forces – declared the executive director of the Stella ad Car Hebdo - I'm sure that in Spa, when we return from holidays, we will find Rosberg in top form. I admire the resilience that both Lewis and Nico show. If they compete in subpar races, in the subsequent GPs they take to the track with more determination".
