McLaren, Honda will bring an update for the Power Unit to Malaysia

La McLaren-Honda's season was certainly not a high level one, but the progress compared to last year is tangible, allowing Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso to reach the points more consistently.

The greatest progress was certainly made by Honda on its Power Unit, the real weak point of this pairing last season. Although complete reliability has not yet been achieved, the performance of the Japanese engine has undoubtedly improved and the results obtained so far prove it: this is thanks to the many updates brought by Honda to its Power Unit, the latest of which was in Belgium.

For this season finale, however, the Japanese manufacturer should bring one last update, most likely in Malaysia, as Jenson Button revealed in an interview with Sky UK: “Yes, progress has been made. Of course we always want more, but the guys have done a fantastic job bringing these developments and in Malaysia, when we have the new update, we will see a gain in performance” said the Englishman.

The goal of the Woking team for the rest of the season is to succeed in achieve good results and be able to fight for the top five in the circuits that best suit the car such as Austin or Abu Dhabi: this update could certainly help him reach his goal.
