Manor, Booth on SPA: “Happy to have maintained contact with McLaren”

Sic transit gloria mundi and it's McLaren's turn too, finishing as a comparison for the Manor, with the English team satisfied with the Spa race for remaining in the lead of the silver arrows of Woking.

After the race, the driver Roberto Merhi stated that it wasn't that difficult to keep up with the McLaren on the straight, basically making it clear that the Honda PU was more or less worth the Ferrari PU... of 2014!

Even Dinnington's team principal, John Booth, stated that the Belgian race should be taken very positively for the little Englishwoman: “It was very positive to finish the Spa race with both cars, without complications. Both Mehri and Stevens ran flawlessly, with good pace. The certain thing is that the good pace, together with a good strategy, allowed us to maintain contact with the McLarens, a small satisfaction."

For the record, Roberto Mehri finished the GP 39" behind Jenson Button, on the same lap as the McLarens. Will Stevens finished 10" behind his teammate.
