Kimi Raikkonen: “A return to F1 is possible, but rallying is much more fun”

Today's news sees Kimi Raikkonen admitting that a return to F1 is "possible".
In an interview for the Austrian newspaper Kleine Zeitung, the Finn states that he doesn't mind his new life in the world of rallying at all and his return to F1 is not necessarily something that should happen soon.

During an event organized by his sponsor, Red Bull, the 31-year-old driver replied in this way when asked about the possibility of a second rebirth in the premier class: “Of course everything is possible. My past was very significant, I don't forget it!”

Raikkonen obviously spoke not only about F1, but also about his working relationship with Citroen on the rallying planet.

“I really love my job and the whole environment. I still have a lot to learn and I want to be the best in everything I do. If you don't take your assignment too hard, it's certain that you won't get very far. Nobody can see the future but I won't deny that I would like to win the world title in the rally championship, yes, it's a dream. I have to focus totally on my present, stop talking about my past. Rally is a much more complicated discipline than Formula 1 because every factor changes quickly: the weather, the surface, the track. You must have a flexible mind and respond quickly to any inconvenience."

And as a happy ending, when asked which of the two is the most fun, he replies without hesitating for a single moment: “The rally! Because every appointment is like facing a new challenge."
