Formula 1, Romain Grosjean still in Lotus in 2015?
Despite the death of Total CEO Grosjean he will still be in Formula 1
Romain Grosjean seems destined to stay in Lotus also for the 2015 season. Although the future of the French driver could be directly linked to that of Fernando Alonso, Lotus and its boss, Gerard López, have hinted that the Enstone team could field the same driver line-up next year. Just like most of the riders powered by the Renault engine, Grosjean too, at the beginning of the year, tested himself several times complained about the engine but from next season the story could change as Lotus will switch to Mercedes engines.
After the death of Total's CEO, Christophe de Margerie, one of Grosjean's biggest supporters, one was ready to bet that the Frenchman's permanence in Formula 1 could be called into question, but no problems would arise in this regard as the driver himself confirmed: "There are very good possibilities that he will remain in Lotus next season too. It won't be the team with which it will be possible for me to become world champion but I think we will have the chance to get on the podium a few times,” Grosjean underlined to the UOL Sao Paulo newspaper.
