Formula 1 | Mercedes, Wolff confirms: “We have given a team order to Ocon”

In an interview given to The Last Hour microphones, Toto Wolff confirmed the team order towards Esteban Ocon during the last Monaco Grand Prix. In Sunday's race, we remember, Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton were the first to mount the ultra soft tyres, thus being overtaken by the Force India driver.

The Frenchman, however, rather than fighting to hold his position, chose not to offer any resistance, allowing both of the Mercedes team's standard bearers to pass. A team order in all respects which allowed the Englishman to maintain third position against Kimi Raikkonen. The Austrian manager, when asked about the matter, confirmed the radio communication between the Mercedes wall and the Force India wall, but did not go into detail.
