F1 | Zak Brown happy with Alonso's renewal: “One of the best of the modern era”

Zak Brown, Executive Director McLaren, is enthusiastic about the renewal di Fernando Alonso announced on Thursday of Austin Grand Prix: “I am happy to confirm that Fernando will remain with us at McLaren. He has been a fantastic asset to the entire organization over the last three years, he is an incredible individual and is one of the most competitive and talented drivers of the modern era. We always wanted to continue our journey together,” he immediately began.

As reported in the McLaren press release, the director hopes to return to being competitive in 2018 with the new Renault engine: “His commitment will allow us to further improve the attractiveness and potential of McLaren and will make us feel more confident for next year. Fernando understands and fully shares this direction we are taking. With Fernando, there is no doubt that he can help us achieve our goal of winning in F1 again – and, believe me, we are all eager to do so,” he concluded.
