Eric boullier, Racing Director of McLaren, wanted to comment on the announcement of Fernando Alonso's renewal with the team Working: “With Fernando, you really can't ask for anything better: a better driver capable of achieving a good result in the race, and everyone recognizes it. It has always been clear to me that this is a team that he loves and that his heart has always been sure to stay. Today's announcement shows that he is fully committed to racing and winning as a McLaren driver,” he explained.

In the official press release published on the McLaren website Boullier he specified: “And, while we have often shared his frustrations in recent years, we now feel we can keep our promise to get him a competitive car.
