F1 | Williams, Russell: “The weekend is finally over!”
Kubica: "Thanks to the mechanics for the extraordinary work"
The British team ends a weekend that proved to be very difficult, starting on Friday with the floor breaking on George Russell's car. which was then followed by Robert Kubica's accident during qualifying. The English driver crossed the finish line in fifteenth, followed by his teammate.
George Russell: "It wasn't a good weekend for us, but once we started after qualifying I felt good. I'm quite relieved that this weekend is over, it seemed like everything was going against us. We're thinking about the next race, we're still pushing and I hope things will go better in Barcelona.".
Robert Kubica: "NI have never raced here in Baku and I would like to thank the mechanics. They did a fantastic job rebuilding the car after my mistake in qualifying. We decided to start from the pit lane and it soon became clear that I had to be careful when braking. It wasn't easy, but the priority was to get the car to the pits and I achieved this. Once again thanks to the mechanics who did something extraordinary allowing me to get out on track".
