F1 | Vettel on Ricciardo's future arrival at Renault: "I was surprised by the choice made by Daniel"

Sebastian Vettel expressed his point of view on the decisions made by Daniel Ricciardo and Fernando Alonso regarding their respective careers.

On the Australian, with whom he shared the garage in Red Bull in 2014 and who will leave the Milton Keynes team at the end of the year to join Renault in 2019, the Ferrari German said: “I must admit that I was surprised by the choice made by Daniel: I think he has more information than me, but I can't know if Renault will improve in the coming seasons. However, he remains one of the best drivers".

On the other hand, he said about the Spaniard, who has decided to leave the world of the Circus to embark on a future in IndyCar and with it the hunt for the Triple Crown: "It's normal for pilots to start and end an adventure. He's been in Formula One for a long time. I guess he realized this was the right time to quit".
