F1 | Marko does not rule out Ricciardo's early dismissal

Daniel Ricciardo's future in Formula 1 is increasingly uncertain and this is confirmed by the recent statements of the Red Bull consultant, who admitted that he expected more from the Australian. The Perth driver was expected to replace Sergio Perez at Red Bull but his poor performances also put him behind his RB teammate, Yuki Tsunoda.

“The requirement for Daniel, if he was to have any hope of securing a seat in Red Bull, was that he had to be clearly faster than Yuki. So far this hasn't been the case, even if we came close in Japan, we'll see how it develops."

In the event that Ricciardo's negative streak continues, Marko does not rule out dismissal during the current season:

“We have Liam Lawson, a strong reserve driver and he has the contractual right to drive for another team if he doesn't get a cockpit with us in 2025. In that regard, it would obviously be exciting for us if we could see him in Formula 1 this year so you can get an even clearer picture. But this is a complex topic, so we will have to wait and see how it develops."
