The end credits are approaching for the Ferrari adventure of Sebastian Vettel. In fact, the German, who arrived at Maranello in the 2015 season and is currently the third driver with the most successes (14) in the history of the little horse behind Michael Schumacher (72) and Niki Lauda (15), only has three races left to compete in the red overalls. before starting a new adventure in Aston Martin where he will take over from Sergio Perez.

The 2020 season was certainly not easy for Seb, dealing with the official non-renewal with Ferrari and the lack of feeling with the SF1000, who only achieved his best result last Sunday on the sidelines of a great performance: the third place in the Turkish GP, also corresponding to his first podium finish this year.

"This year's season was very difficult and I admit that I even had doubts about my abilities – declared Vettel, interviewed by Die Zeit – I haven't gone anywhere this season and the relationships with the team aren't the easiest either. The romance is over but I'm still motivated".

Vettel then, speaking about the challenge that awaits him across the Channel from next year, said: “I still expect a lot from the remaining races, but I think the new project with Aston Martin opens up many possibilities. We won't be able to achieve success quickly, but I'm sure it will be a completely different state of mind and a new goal: to help the team progress".

The German, who turned 33 last July, is no longer very young and indicated the length of time he spent in the Circus: "I'll be on the track for another three years and I really don't want to race at 40. So I have three to seven years left in Formula 1".
