F1 | Red Bull, Sergio Perez: “Great teamwork with Max”

Sergio Perez closes the last qualifying of the season with a front row finish. The Mexican and teammate Max Verstappen appear to have buried the hatchet after the brutal media clash at Interlagos, which began via team radio during the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Checo managed to do half the work already in qualifying, placing himself in second position ahead of Charles Leclerc, with him on equal points in the drivers' standings, fighting for the title of vice-world champion. Perez's front row seems to be the result of teamwork, with Verstappen giving way to the Mexican in the last attempt of Q3, but to understand if peace has really been made, we will have to wait for the green light of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

My Q1 and Q2 were very good, I was hoping for more, but Q3 wasn't so good, especially the first attempt – explained Checo – we fell behind and in the end we didn't have enough for first place. We have a long race ahead of us, we have to finish the job tomorrow and achieve the best possible result for the team. It will be important to start well and immediately create the gap to Charles. We are confident for the race, we have a good pace and we can fight. We are much happier with our performances compared to Brazil. An incredible year would end with the conquest of second place in the drivers' championship, we would write the history of this team. We will work hard to make this happen, we hope to succeed".
