F1 | Red Bull, retirement for Sergio Perez: "Weekend to forget"

Weekend to be canceled for Sergio Perez. The Mexican was still riding high after fantastic weekends in Monaco and Baku, but in Canada the Mexican never really showed consistency with his RB18. Foggy in free practice, the misjudgment in qualifying in Q2 with the car stuck in the barriers. Checo thus condemned himself to a comeback from thirteenth position, which however was interrupted on the eighth lap. "We believe there was a problem with the gearbox and unfortunately I was left with the gears stuck – revealed the Mexican – things were going well, I made a good start on the hard tires and was gaining positions. I had finally overtaken Daniel and his McLaren without DRS and it would have been a good comeback, so it's a big shame. I think there was a lot of potential for my race to make up positions and score some points.
