F1 | Red Bull, Christian Horner: “I'm proud of my team”

Red Bull scores their first double of the season. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez fly easily through the curves of Imola, leaving the Ferraris no escape. Sainz spins at the start, after a contact with Ricciardo, while Leclerc gets off to a bad start on the wettest part of the track. The Monegasque starts chasing second place, but without success. The Anglo-Austrian team carries out its pit stops without problems, and therefore achieves the first double of the year, shortening the gap in the world rankings: Verstappen and Perez are in second and third position respectively with fifty-nine and fifty-four points, while the Red Bull is only eleven points behind Ferrari.

"This is one of our best results, we gained the maximum points available over the weekend, it's incredible – said team principal Christian Horner – both Max and Checo drove brilliantly to take their first one-two since the 2016 Malaysian Grand Prix. I'm very proud of the team, both on track and in Milton Keynes, they were phenomenal and we needed them after Australia. It will be a long season and this result gives us confidence, we will try to confirm ourselves in Miami in two weeks".
