The audience for Formula 1 on Sky is growing and after the last GP in Abu Dhabi - followed by more than 800 thousand average viewers and 1 million 560 thousand unique viewers, 14% more than in 2015* - it closes the 2016 season with a +7% of listeners compared to a year ago.
With over 500 hours of live broadcast overall, 150 of which dedicated to in-depth studies, columns, magazines and highlights, this year Sky channel 207 attracted over 6 million unique viewers* in front of the TV.

GROWTH – Sky Sport F1 HD, the only channel in Italy to broadcast all the F1 World GP GPs live, is among the most viewed on the Sky platform: this year, the races attracted an average of around 900 thousand viewers in front of the screen spectators, with a attendance of 60%* which testifies to the public's willingness to follow the races from the green light to the checkered flag.

MORE THAN 7 GPs OVER 1 MILLION LISTENERS – The Spanish Grand Prix is ​​the most watched of the season, with around 1 million 400 thousand average spectators overall*. And the one million audience mark was also exceeded on 6 other occasions with the GPs in Monaco, Canada, Europe, Austria, Great Britain and Italy. Great results also for the studios: Sky Sport F1 HD pre-races recorded a growth of 33% compared to 2015*.

TECHNOLOGY, INTERACTIVITY, MOBILITY – Added to this is interactivity: this year over 1 million 400 thousand unique spectators chose to follow the GPs through the 5 dedicated channels of the interactive mosaic in HD. And then Sky Go, which allows you to watch the GPs on the move and which this year attracted around 450 thousand unique users.

DIGITAL AND SOCIAL – Large following also on the web: the website skysport.it, with its section dedicated to F1, recorded around 8 million (+30% compared to the last season) page views, over 2.5 million unique users and 2.1 million of videoviews. Over 2 million 650 thousand interactions with Sky Sport profiles on social networks. Monza was the most social Grand Prix of the year, with a social audience of around 4 million.
