F1 Ralf Schumacher Vasseur – Speaking on Sky De, Ralf Schumacher defended the position of Frederic Vasseur after the many ups and downs recorded by Ferrari in this first part of the season, specifying how the French manager needs time before "shaping" the team according to his indications.

According to the former German driver, currently a talent for the satellite broadcaster, the Red team is going through a moment of important changes, especially on a technical level, an aspect which clearly places it in an unfavorable situation in comparison not only with Red Bull, the authentic dominator of this championship, but also with Mercedes and Aston Martin.

A clear and after all expected condition which, considering the work that Vasseur is carrying out behind the scenes (several new technicians are arriving and many others will leave their offices in Maranello), could also be confirmed in the final part of this championship and in the first months of next year.

“Ferrari is facing difficulties and still faces a complicated road full of obstacles,” said the German after the Barcelona race. “In any case, however, Fred Vasseur has only been in charge for a few months and needs time to fix what is wrong in Maranello. He is introducing new people into the technical structure and clearly, before everything becomes fully operational, we must first find the right relationships and mechanisms. He needs patience before reaping the fruits of this work. It is possible that Ferrari will have to take into account losing the comparison with Aston Martin, Red Bull and Mercedes not only in 2023, but also at the beginning of 2024."
