F1 | Racing Point, Stroll: “A Formula 1 car comes to life at Spa”

Even for Lance Stroll, as for the vast majority of drivers in circulation, the Spa-Francorchamps track, scene of the next Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix, is the most beautiful in the world championship of the top open-wheel category, and one of the most iconic in the history of motorsport. The Canadian, a Belgian half-breed among other things, admits that racing here is different compared to the other tracks on the calendar.

“Spa is a fantastic track, and our car usually goes well here – Stroll said. A Formula 1 car comes to life on this track, just like at Silverstone or Suzuka: you have the feeling of pushing the car to the limit and understanding what it can do on this type of track. I have a strong connection with Belgium: my mother was born here, so I also have some Belgian blood. It's nice to be back, I hope to get a good result too. In Barcelona I found Checo as a teammate again: we all missed him, we are happy that he recovered so quickly. We push each other, you can see it both in qualifying and in the race. This is what you want from a teammate."
