F1 | Ocon on a possible Williams option: “There are ongoing discussions”

Present on TF1's 'Auto Moto' programme, Esteban Ocon spoke about his possible arrival at Williams in 2019, underlining how there are ongoing discussions regarding his future.

The Frenchman, we remember, does not yet have a clear project in his hands for next season, especially after the closures by Renault and McLaren, his absence from the grid in 2019 appears increasingly likely. Despite this, however, the Current Force India champion is determined to continue his career in Formula 1 and will do everything to return to a single-seater in 2020.

Here are the words of Esteban Ocon: “I don't know yet whether I will go to Williams or not. There are ongoing discussions and obviously I hope that a scenario of this type materializes."

On a possible season as third driver he added: “A 2019 without Formula 1 wouldn't be a disaster, but unfortunately you never know what the future may hold. The only certain thing is that I may stay out next season, but in 2020 I will try to get back on the grid. That's for sure".
