F1 | Mercedes, Valtteri Bottas: “Race without errors, but Max was too fast”

Colorless and flawless race for Valtteri Bottas, who does the bare minimum and brings the car home in second position. The Red Bulls, on the Yes Marina circuit, were too fast even for the silver arrows, concluding a weekend not worthy of the strength demonstrated throughout the season. With the end of the championship Bottas also secures second place in the standings, with a gap that is too large from teammate and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, who has not yet confirmed his presence for the 2021 season.

"Congratulations to Max and Red Bull on the win. They were too fast today, we couldn't keep up with them – admitted the Finn – we expected to be able to maintain their pace before the race, but they managed to control the pace and the gaps. For my part, it was a solid race with zero errors, I think I made the most of our car. This is why it was a good race, I finished ahead of my teammate and it's nice to be back on the podium. A huge thank you to the entire team for an amazing year. I'm really proud to be able to finish the season with second place in the drivers' standings; every member of the team did an incredible job, and I thank them. There are still some commitments on my schedule, before I can think about the Christmas holidays and be able to rest, train and start from scratch for the next season. I can't wait".
