F1 | Mercedes, Bottas still 100% involved

Valtteri Bottas and Mercedes are about to separate after five years together, yet the relationship has not deteriorated at all, on the contrary. The Scandinavian driver was fantastic in dominating the Turkish GP, where he drove in the wet at a very high level, confirming that he is still a precious ally for his "captain" Lewis Hamilton.

Despite being close to donning the overalls of the Ferrari-powered Alfa Romeo Sauber, Bottas is still fully involved in all the decision-making processes and technical meetings of the Brackley team, because he is focused on working with the team to win both world titles up for grabs , the Drivers one and the Constructors one.

“The usual atmosphere reigns in the team, everything is normal, nothing has changed - explained Bottas - I continue to attend all the meetings I have attended over the past five years. I don't know if they have other meetings, but for me nothing has really changed."

Also the head of engineers Andy Shovlin confirmed that Bottas remains a fundamental player for Mercedes in 2021:

“Both titles are important for us and Valtteri plays a key role both in terms of winning the Drivers' and Constructors' championships. He knows the team thoroughly, he knows how the engineers work, it wouldn't make any sense to exclude him from the team's work now."
