F1 | Haas, Mick Schumacher is sixth: “I feel much stronger”

The points won at Silverstone seem to have lit a fire in Mick Schumacher, who now has no intention of giving up what he deserves. The German, ninth at the start, continues the fight that began yesterday with the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, but the fights also continue with Fernando Alonso, Lando Norris, Kevin Magnussen, George Russell and Lance Stroll: he fights, overtakes, closes the doors of strength. Mick leaves no way for anyone and takes what he deserves, with a Haas that literally turns towards the Red Bull Ring. Schumacher also takes revenge on yesterday's Sprint Race, placing himself ahead of teammate Magnussen, eighth. The black and white flag at the end did not affect the fantastic result of the German, who crossed the finish line in sixth position, gaining eight precious points. For the first time in ten years the Schumacher name returns to the top 6: it hasn't happened since Monza 2012, with Michael Schumacher in Mercedes.

"Fighting Lewis again was fun. I feel much better than yesterday, obviously we knew we had to manage the tyres. I immediately understood that it wouldn't be a one-stop race from the behavior of the tires: it was very windy and it was difficult to manage them. – explained the German – there was an improvement and today we confirmed our work: I think a different season can begin for me, today I felt very strong. I think a lot of people underestimated us at the start of the weekend and it's nice to prove them wrong. We were one of the cars with the best balance and that's why we managed to make so many overtakes. It was tough, but we are back in the points after Silverstone, the whole team can be really happy with this result. To be voted driver of the day is great, I thank all the fans".
