F1 | GP Monaco, Alonso on the accident in FP1: "In 2010 it was more painful"

Yesterday Fernando Alonso was involved in an accident at the last corner of the Monte Carlo track which, however, did not deprive him of continuing the first free practice session. My mind immediately went to Massenet's 2010 crash in FP3, which forced the Spaniard - then at Ferrari - to skip qualifying and start the GP from the back of the grid. When asked on the subject, the two-time champion downplayed yesterday's episode, compared to what happened 11 years ago on the same track.

"In 2010 it was much more painful because afterwards I missed qualifying – declared Alonso, interviewed by the official Formula 1 website - Today (yesterday, ed.) it was just a little kiss and then we continued. Ferrari seems stronger here, that's for sure, too strong for us, but I guess the middle of the pack will be very tight. We need to optimize everything and maximize our package for Saturday".
