F1 | Eifel GP, Hamilton: “Congratulations to Bottas for doing an excellent job”

In qualifying for the Eifel Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton had to settle for the second fastest time. In fact, the Englishman was outwitted by teammate Valtteri Bottas on the decisive and last lap valid for pole position, suffering a gap of two and a half tenths from his sister Mercedes.

Tomorrow the reigning world champion will certainly need another gear if he wants to beat Bottas and achieve that victory which will allow him to equal Schumacher's record of 91 victories, right on the seven-time world champion's home track.

"They are sure that when I look at the data there will be a lot of time lost, he is two tenths ahead. Valtteri did a great job so congratulations to him. Tomorrow there will be a lot to play for", declared Hamilton hotly.
