For Mercedes five successes in a row from 2014 to 2018

F1 | Abu Dhabi GP, Ferrari chasing its first success at Yas Marina

It is historically a circuit favorable to Mercedes and less smiling for Ferrari Yas Marina. In Abu Dhabi the Silver Arrows won five of the ten GPs held, from 2009 to 2018: three victories for Hamilton (2014, 2016, 2018), one for Rosberg (2015) and one for Bottas (2017)

To the three victories in Mercedes, the reigning World Champion must also add a victory achieved in 2011 with McLaren. Success that in the pilot register of Abu Dhabi GP, puts the Briton in the lead ahead of Sebastian Vettel, who has won three victories (won with Red Bull in 2009, 2010 and 2013).

Since being at the Red, Vettel has achieved a fourth place in 2015, a third in 2016 (with a fast lap in the race), another third place the following year and a second place in 2018 (also with a fast lap) . For Leclerc instead only one participation, with seventh place achieved last year with Alfa Romeo.

After the last unfortunate races, the Ferrari is hoping for one last little joy to end 2019. And remove the zero from the "victories" box at Yas Marina.
