F1| Ferrari, Vettel and the return to the Nurburgring: "Every cent will make the difference, we will fight in the middle of the group"

Sebastian Vettel is the latest race winner at the Nurburgring. In fact, in 2013, aboard the Red Bull, the German won his home race ahead of the Lotuses of Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean, which at the time alternated with Hockenheim for the German Grand Prix. After seven years, many things have changed, and Vettel is preparing to leave Ferrari to embrace the new Aston Martin project. The four-time world champion analyzes the characteristics of the track and the environmental conditions that we will find under the Nurburg castle.

"We return to the Nürburgring in a completely unexpected way – Vettel said – since this race was not initially included in the calendar and obviously I am very pleased to have the opportunity to compete in Germany, in front of my fans. I have excellent memories of the last time we came to race here, in 2013, and in an absolute sense it is an interesting track, with many low and medium speed corners which enhance the traction qualities of the cars.
Arriving in the Eifel area in October it is to be believed that the temperatures will be quite low, so being able to make the tires work correctly will be of vital importance. I predict that as so far this season we will find ourselves fighting in the middle of the pack and every penny will make the difference. We will have to take care of every little detail."
