F1 | Ferrari, Vettel on 2018: "Let's start from a solid base"

Despite the many reliability problems suffered at the end of last season, Sebastian Vettel is ready to play his cards right from the first Australian Grand Prix. According to the German, in fact, the Scuderia di Maranello is carrying out excellent work in the factory given that the 2018 project can count on fairly solid foundations. The team can make the most of last year's lessons and this, especially in the middle of the season, when development will play a key role in the fight for the title, will be able to make the difference, helping or penalizing the German's chase towards the title. The objective will be to put the best possible package on the track, reaping the maximum in the very first Grands Prix of the 2018 championship.

Here are the words of Sebastian Vettel: “The regulations will remain approximately the same and this will allow us to start from a solid base. We hope to continue the process started during last season. What do we need to win? I think the last step. If we look at past seasons, especially in recent years, we have always lacked that extra bit to seriously compete for the championship. We started working on 2018 about two months ago and despite the commitment we still have a lot of development to do. We will try to concentrate on ours, doing the best job possible, and only then evaluate our position."
