The first free practice session of the Styrian Grand Prix saw Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz complete a total of 69 laps, obtaining two practically identical best times: 1'06"629 for the Monegasque and 1'06"630 for the Spaniard.

Long runs. Both drivers worked on the set-up, also carrying out various tests in race configuration. Charles completed 36 laps, while Carlos completed 33.

Program. The second free practice session will start at 15pm, and there is a strong risk of rain as several clouds are gathering over Spielberg
