F1 | Aston Martin: Dan Fallows will be the new technical director

After announcing a new internal structure on Thursday, only one piece was missing to define what Aston Martin's new organization would be, that is, who would have had the burden and honor of taking on the role of technical director to lead the development of single-seaters. A piece that was filled with an announcement from Red Bull that came after the first free practice session of the Styrian Grand Prix, which stated that Dan Fallows, head of aerodynamics of the Milton Keynes team, would leave the team at the end of his contract to move to Aston Martin, where he will be able to take on the new role and take a step forward in his career.

An important step forward for the Silverstone team, which continues its work of expansion and recruitment after having started construction work on the new factory and having set itself the objective of increasing its staff up to 800 people, in order to make the team more competitive thanks to the arrival of new engineers. THEIn the past, Fallows had worked at Red Bull for around 15 years, where he initially arrived as Team Leader of the aerodynamics department (after experience at Jaguar and Dallara), before being promoted to Head of Aerodynamics in 2014. His hiring thus concludes the internal reorganization process that began months ago, which pushed Andrew Green to take on the role of Chief Technical Officer.
