F1 | Ferrari, Leclerc in the second row: “Better result than expected”

Great performance for Charles Leclerc, who managed to qualify in fourth position in qualifying at the Nurburgring, and therefore tomorrow he will start from the second row next to Max Verstappen. The Monegasque found himself at ease with the car in Germany with some updates compared to the past, and the fruits are starting to be seen. “Our result in qualifying is perhaps even better than we expected – admits Leclerc – especially in such cold temperature conditions, but we brought some updates here that might have made a bit of a difference in the right direction, which is good. I'm happy with how we're working and I really enjoyed having just one free practice session before going straight into qualifying. We made the most of the situation even if in view of the race we don't have much information on long runs with high fuel loads. For tomorrow we are all in the dark, but I know one thing: it will be important to manage these soft tires well because they are quite difficult in terms of graining. It will be a complicated race, but it is precisely this element that makes the weekend more interesting."
