Formula 1 | Free practice analysis at Silverstone: Max Verstappen is unreachable!

“The updates seem to work as expected; obviously, it's difficult to make predictions based on free practice: we'll only know where we really are when qualifying begins. Today we only focused on the new components and different set-ups. I struggled a little with the balance, but all in all, I think eleventh position is a good result. By refining every single detail, I believe we will be able to extract much more from the car. Tonight, our work will focus on reviewing the data, hoping to be able to take a step forward tomorrow."

Valtteri Bottas remains slightly further behind, sixteenth in FP2. However, the Finn remains confident for the rest of the weekend.

“Today, like most Fridays, we learned a lot. The upgrades we've brought seem to have given us a little more grip, but we're not the only ones with upgrades this weekend and, again, we know how close our rivals can get. I remember that there is still a lot of work to do to optimize the package, to try to maximize performance and make a difference. Tomorrow, qualifying will be fundamental, to place ourselves as far forward as possible on the grid and hope to be able to fight for the points."
