F1 | Alfa Romeo Sauber, Leclerc: “The Bahrain track is interesting”

The Italian-Swiss team is ready to face the second stage of the 2018 calendar: it will take place in Bahrain. These are the drivers' statements ahead of Sunday's race.

Marcus Ericsson: “I know the Bahrain circuit very well, I've been there a lot of times and I like racing there. The track is quite challenging due to the presence of sand, wind and weather can be a determining factor. In the center of the track there is a very technical left-hand bend, one of the most difficult to tackle of the whole season. There are plenty of opportunities to overtake and I'm looking forward to taking advantage of them. After seeing our potential in Australia, we go to Bahrain very positive.".

Charles Leclerc: “After my debut in Australia, I can't wait to take part in the second grand prix, I'm really excited to go to Bahrain. I have known the track since last year, when I raced in Formula 2 and there are good memories that link me to this track. Here, I ran one of my best races. The track is interesting, the temperatures are high and this has a huge impact on the tyres. This creates some interesting strategies due to attrition; we'll see what the next race brings us".
