F1 | Alfa Romeo, Kubica on track in FP1 at the Hungaroring

Robert Kubica will take to the track in the first free practice session of the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Polish driver will take the place of Kimi Raikkonen aboard Alfa Romeo Racing, in what is usually the weekend that sees the ex-Renault compatriots invade the stands of the Hungaroring. Robert will participate in the third FP1 of the season, after the experiences of Barcelona and Zeltweg. Returning to the topic of fans, the team - we read in the official note - will offer a dedicated stand, located in the Silver Fan Zone and will host the team's cars and race kits, with a rich program of virtual meeting sessions with the fans, offered merchandising specials and much more. Enthusiasts will also be able to participate to win exclusive gadgets.

“Nice to be back in the car, especially in Budapest, the closest race to Poland on the calendar – Kubica said. There are always many of my fellow countrymen fans in the stands and I know that there will be many flags to welcome me when I leave the pits on Friday. Obviously, once you're in the car the aim is to do the best job possible for the team and help our engineers with the set-up of the car. The margins in the center of the group are very narrow, so any improvement can be decisive."
